FOR 2024 SCULPEY CLAY - Instructor Sue DeWulf

Come relax in the afternoons with a fun and whimsical workshop.  Sculpey polymer clay is versatile, colorful, and easy to use.  Your immersion into making small keepsakes, jewelry, ornaments, and imaginary creatures is even more fun as we transition into Happy Hour during class.  Bring out your inner child, and then enjoy being a grown-up for Happy Hour as we keep creating!

You will be able to make Dragon Eye boxes, creatures, both imaginary and real, and any other small items you can imagine.

All materials will be provided

and your miniature art pieces will be “fired” at camp.

Sue DeWulf, a native of Southern California, discovered her fervor for sculpting while in high school. This passion flourished further under the tutelage of ceramist Richard Shaw at the San Francisco Art Institute. She later honed her craft, earning her BFA from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington.

Drawing from her own childhood experiences, Sue infuses her sculptures with nostalgia, often incorporating toys and mementos from her youth. Furthermore, her extensive background in teaching art has served as a wellspring of inspiration, fueling her own artistic endeavors.

Sue’s ceramic sculptures have graced venues such as the San Diego County Fair, as well as numerous renown galleries and juried exhibitions throughout Southern California.
