About Camp deBenneville Pines

Homey (O-may) Lodge

Celebrating CdBP’s 65th Anniversary Year in 2026

Camp deBenneville Pines was founded in 1961 as a summer mountain retreat in the San Bernardino National Forest for the Unitarian Universalists of Southern California, southern Nevada, and Arizona.

Over 25 years ago, the camp became year around and other groups (e.g., scouts, theater groups, home schoolers, etc.) rent the facility. Art Camp is hosted by CdBP.

At nearly 7,000 feet the pines rule, but oak trees put in a good showing (especially in the fall).  Camp is located in National Forest land in the San Bernardino Mountains north-east of Los Angeles.

There are hiking trails nearby with Jenks Lake within walking distance - about one “fairly-flat” paved mile.
