About Camp deBenneville Pines
Camp deBenneville Pines was founded in 1961 as a summer mountain retreat in the San Bernardino National Forest for the Unitarian Universalists of Southern California, southern Nevada, and Arizona. Over 25 years ago, the camp became year around and other groups (e.g., scouts, theater groups, home schoolers, etc.) rent the facility.
Everyone is welcome, regardless of faith, sexual orientation, or political persuasion.
At nearly 7,000 feet the pines rule, but oak trees put in a good showing (especially in the fall).
There are hiking trails nearby with Jenks Lake within walking distance - about one “fairly-flat” paved mile.
Activities at camp include swimming in the camp pool, relaxing in the hot tub, taking an archery lesson, walking the meditation labyrinth, and lounging in the clean mountain air. Art Campers often mix these activities with the afternoon creative workshops.
Celebrating our 65th Anniversary Year in 2026
Well maintained trails connect the cabins, art venues, lodge, and amenities, such as the pool, hot tub, archery field, and labyrinth.
It does not get much better than swimming among the pines in our gorgeous pool!
