More About Art Camp 4 Grownups
How Art Camp Works
During Registration, you will choose an Intensive Workshop and a Cabin. After Registration, you will be emailed packets with forms to fill out, and later all of the info you will need, as well as a supplies list for your Intensive. More details will be provided during orientation on the first day of camp.
All activities and classes at our Artist Retreat are optional (except Orientation.)
There is something for everyone. See CLASSES section below for a general description and links to INTENSIVES and WORKSHOPS.
There are many choices, and each day can be as full, or as relaxing, as you desire. There are lots of art-related activities on the schedule, or just take time to relax and breathe the mountain air. It is a retreat after all!
Take time to unwind and enjoy nature, swim, soak in the spa, get a massage, do yoga, go for a walk, or just sit and create, or talk with friends.
Invite your adult children, friends, and partners to meet you at camp. Everyone will have a splendid time in the forest!
Even though Art is the main focus, being in the mountains and having all your meals prepared for you, takes the pressure off of your daily routine and gives you a serenity that refreshes you and refills your spirit!
HISTORY of Art Camp 4 Grownups
For the 20th year, experienced and novice artists alike have the chance to enjoy a six-day respite from their everyday lives in the splendor of a lush and affordable retreat in the beautiful San Bernardino Mountains called Camp de Benneville Pines.
Art Camp started when camp leadership decided to offer life drawing and photography classes to its August adult encampment. As years went by, more and varied classes were offered, in watercolor, acrylics, and other favored disciplines.
CLASSES:
INTENSIVES:
We offer a selection of 5-day Intensive art classes from which campers choose one at registration.
Classes are limited in size in order to provide individual interaction and focus.
A list of supplies to bring, or fee for materials, is provided for each Intensive. Supply costs are reasonable.
WORKSHOPS:
On days 2-5, there are 2 slots for Afternoon Workshops,
Signups for workshops open each morning before breakfast, and are first come, first served. The materials for these are provided by the instructors.
Please read details about our Intensive and Workshop choices on the CLASSES tab at the top of the page, or click here:

Class atmosphere is supportive of the creative process, accommodating all levels of proficiency. All Intensives and Workshops aim to nurture the creative journey rather than the outcome of making perfect art (whatever that is!)
Artists of all experience levels come to take art classes from talented, passionate, professional artists and enjoy the company of fellow artists, accomplished and new
