Registering For Art Camp - and AC4G Policies
How Art Camp Works
During Registration, you will choose an Intensive Class and a Cabin Preference. These are first come, first served, and waiting lists will be created in the order of registration after they are filled. There are also Workshops in the afternoons which you sign up for each morning.
All activities and classes at our Artist Retreat are optional — except Orientation!
There is something for everyone. With so many choices, each day can be as full, or as relaxing, as you desire
There are lots of art-related activities on the schedule, or just take time to relax and breathe the mountain air. It is a retreat after all!
Your main focus is your 5-day INTENSIVE which is 3 hours each day in one medium
In addition, there are two slots for 90-minute WORKSHOPS in the afternoons on days 2 thru 5
Outside of class offerings, take time to unwind and enjoy nature, swim, take archery lessons, soak in the spa, get a massage (fee), do yoga, join an impromptu music jam, or just sit and create or visit with friends
Take advantage of our “Bring a Friend” discount! Invite your adult children, friends, and partners to join you at camp
We offer your “Muse” a discount if they are there to support you and they wish to enjoy camp, but without the art. Everyone will have a splendid time!
Even though Art is the main focus, being in the mountains and having all your meals prepared for you, takes the pressure off of your daily routine and provides a serenity that refreshes and refills your spirit!
Our main communication with you is EMAIL, so please check yours often!
After Registration, please refer to our website to review your materials needed. You will have plenty of time to shop for supplies you do not already have.
In August, a formal packet will be emailed out with forms to fill out and bring to Check-in. It will contain all the info you will need for camp, as well as Materials and Packing Checklists. Additional details will be provided during Orientation on the first day of camp.
Please peruse this website from first page to last to acquaint yourself with all the details and to get ready for FUN!
UU “Owners’ Club” — UUOC
Camp de Benneville Pines was built, supported by and still receives generous donations from the UU Community. Our UU members shall always be shown special consideration AS THE OWNERS of CdBP. It has been primarily the generosity of the UU members and district churches that has kept CdBP functioning and thriving. On the Registration form, the UU Owners’ Club (UUOC) will be a category allowing any member who cannot otherwise afford the full price of camp, to still attend an enjoy the enrichment of Art Camp at a reduced rate.
If a UUOC member chooses to pay the regular price, they will receive a Tax Deduction letter acknowledging their donation above the UUOC price. This money will fill our Scholarship Fund to help artists needing modest financial support.

To get the most from your workshop experience, participants should be in good physical (mobility, stamina) and mental health. Come prepared for the high elevation of 6800 feet, long and fun days, and seasonal weather including a possible afternoon thunderstorm. You are responsible for being open and honest about your physical fitness. We reserve the right to remove you from activities if we find your fitness to be unsafe.
Scholarships
For those for whom the cost of camp is a hardship, modest scholarships may be available. These must be requested by email to the Dean for committee review and approval.
We are grateful to the Art Campers who contribute to our ongoing Scholarship Fund. Without their generous help, we could not provide Scholarships.
